Intuitive Energy Podcast Season 1 Episode 005 Joy and Judgement   Today we'll discuss how joy and judgment can't coexist, why judgment can be draining, how to reorient yourself to joy, and the important word choices can have on your mindset.

In this episode we discuss how joy and judgment can not coexist, and why judgment is draining, how to re-orient yourself to joy, and the importance word choice can have on your mindset.

Joy and Judgement Don’t Exist in the Same Moment

People tend to compare themselves to others in many different constructs of our world. When judgment becomes involved in the thought process, the joy is removed because they can’t coexist.

Similarly, when we expect others, who are “less” than we are to look “up” to us, that creates a strain on our society. This thought paradigm strains our society because we judge individually. Whether you judge yourself or judge yourself through the eyes of others, the knife cuts both ways.

Different Types of Energy

Defending yourself against something means that it exists. If you take a moment to reflect and ask yourself, “Am I judging myself, or am I judging myself through other’s eyes at this moment?” Consider yourself if these people are really better than you are. “Am I bad because I’m not perfect?” No, because perfection doesn’t exist.

Judgment is a never-ending ladder - every rung leads to another rung of judgment. Joy is like a swimming pool. You can fall into it and feel that it’s enjoyable.

Re-focusing Your Internal Compass from Judgement to Joy

Joy is possible. To achieve joy, you have to sit down and decide where you allow your psyche to judge yourself. When you look at it right in the eye, it takes power away from where the judgment is coming from. However, you must sit with it and acknowledge that you gave someone your power when you took their judgment upon yourself. That makes you feel less of yourself.

The feeling of “less than” can be placed on auto-pilot. Once you go out into the world, this sense of not feeling adequate can dig deeper and deeper until it becomes a daily practice or automatic to the point of not realizing that you are behaving in this fashion. Acknowledging the pattern is a great first step to releasing yourself from its grip.
